By accessing or using SignUpGo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

SignUpGo is an event management platform that allows users to create, manage, and organize various types of events including but not limited to:

• Parent-teacher conferences
• School events and activities
• Sports team registrations
• Nonprofit fundraisers
• Church events
• Community gatherings

The Service includes features for event creation, participant registration, payment processing, communication tools, and analytics.

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for other reasons at our discretion.

SignUpGo offers a free tier for basic event management. Educational institutions, nonprofits, and community organizations may use the Service at no cost.

Paid Features

Some advanced features may require payment. Payment terms, pricing, and billing cycles will be clearly communicated before any charges are applied.

Refunds

Refund policies will be specified at the time of purchase. Generally, we offer refunds within 30 days of purchase if the Service does not meet expectations.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Software Provided AS-IS: THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. SIGNUPGO EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNUPGO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Loss of data or information
• Loss of use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Damages resulting from service interruptions or downtime
• Damages resulting from security breaches or unauthorized access

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

No Guarantee of Uptime: While we strive for high availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Data Privacy and Security

Your Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Student Data: If you are a school using SignUpGo, you are responsible for:

• Obtaining necessary consents from parents/guardians for data collection
• Complying with FERPA and other applicable privacy laws
• Ensuring data accuracy and timely updates
• Notifying parents of their rights regarding student data

Data Breach: In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected schools within 72 hours. However, we are not liable for damages resulting from breaches caused by factors beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to security vulnerabilities in third-party services or user error.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SignUpGo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
